Dog Sitting

I sure hope you are not expecting a long composition on how to choose a good way to kennel your dog when you must leave him behind for your trip. I have, actually, found that I have become pretty busy watching other dogs, of all breeds (small to medium) and found that I am enjoying myself. I thought I would take the space to let anyone near enough to me know that if you do not have family or friends to watch your dog I am happy to do so for you. I have a few requirements, but I try not to be unreasonable.
Your dog must be comfortable in a crate.
He/she must have had the initial puppy series vaccinations (including rabies)
He/she must be non aggressive
I am really not that picky, just know that I cannot have a large dog, since I do not have a fenced back yard and my home is not large. I am happy to teach any dog while here and I am also happy to groom. I request that they come to me with food, dishes, crate, leash and collar and whatever toys will make them feel more comfortable while you are away. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
Now if you were expecting a composition on how best to choose a kennel for your dog, my thoughts are simple and brief. Do not use a kennel unless you absolutely have to. Find a neighbor, friend, family, someone from church, anyone who will make your dog feel at home while you are away. If you must use a kennel, don't just go with your vet. Find a company that has plenty of room for dogs to excersise, that they are allowed to run often enough, that there is ample help for the amount of kenneled animals and that you are welcome to view the kennels before leaving your dog. If you cannot trust them, you should look elsewhere. And a very big clue... if your dog is afraid to go or does not act the same when you return, find somewhere else. Your dog should not have to be so unhappy while you play.
